A Vision by Tammy Lang Jensen

The Lord show me a vision of particleboard. He said,”It’s a cheap imitation of the real thing.” It can be used as a substitute to plywood to lower cost.

Particleboard is an engineered wood product made from waste products like wood chips, sawdust and wood shavings. Certainly you would not try and build a mansion out of this.

Then why do you try and build a home without Christ as the foundation. The rain came down and streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock (Matthew 7:25). On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. If you build your life around money, possessions, a job or the approval of man; what will you do if these things one day fade away?

A job can be lost, money and possessions stolen, and occasionally a friend will betray you. But if you place your trust in Jesus, he is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. Don’t store treasures here on earth, where moth eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal (Matthew 6:19). But rather store your treasure in heaven. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the Lord’s purpose will prevail (Proverbs 19:21).

Are you prevailing in the purpose of the Lord, or are you drowning in selfish desires. So I say walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace (Romans 8:6). I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid (John 14:27). I think the last line of this verse is so powerful. I think Jesus knew we would be worried and afraid.

He knows that the enemies attack on our minds is relentless. But he clearly says, don’t be troubled or afraid. Numerous times in the Bible it says,”FEAR NOT, FOR I AM WITH YOU!” If we totally trust Jesus then it is a firm foundation beneath our feet. Then our feet are planted firmly on the rock, and we will have feet like hind’s feet, able to tread on mountain heights. The Lord has been a equipping, preparing and training us. But our success hinges on one thing: Total trust in a savior that we cannot see. That is why it says, go in peace, your faith has made you whole. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). Then Jesus told him, because you have seen me, you have believed; Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed (John 20:29).

Will you believe though you do not see, or will you chase after vain imaginations. And he said: Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:3). I come quickly, come to me in childlike faith today. Believe that I am, and so I shall be….Tried and True, a Rock beneath your feet….
