Deliver Me, My God! by Tammy Lang Jensen

Deliver Me, My God! by Tammy Lang Jensen

This is a word for those that the anointing has cost you something. Some had to walk away from jobs, pride, vanity, pleasures of the flesh and money.

Many have had to endure death, sickness, chronic pain, gossip and naysayers. Arise, Lord! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked (Psalm 3:7).

They have had to stand firm and fast and do what the Father asked no matter the worlds opinions; are even well meaning Christians. They have had to rebuke the devour at every turn. Their hearts desire has been to soar with the Eagles, Run with the thoroughbreds and roar with the Lion of Judah. But the reality has been on some mornings they feel like a rabbit hidden in a dark den with the wolf at their door. So what do you do on these days, what could a rabbit possibly have that gives him an advantage over the wolf. Well his giant ears and amazing hearing of course.

And just like the rabbit, if you would use your amazing hearing, you can’t sit in the dark and listen for your Master’s voice. When you turn to the right and the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying,”This is the way; walk in it” (Isaiah 30:21). Our God is the truth, the life, and the way! Those who walk in him, never walk alone.

And just like the rabbit in the den, he will give you a safe hiding place. He will draw you under his wing and into the cleft of the rock. He will be an anchor for your soul. He will be an ark in a stormy sea, and a rainbow at the end of a hard day. He is the promise in your heart, and the wind beneath your wings. He is the maker of heaven and earth, and the deliver of your destiny. He can call forth all that you need in a twinkling of an eye, and command the angels to kill and destroy every demon and familiar spirit that hinders your path.

If you keep your eyes set on Jesus, he will light the way. His word is a lamp to your feet, and the light to your path. He will give you strength to move mountains, and he will get things done. God will strengthen you with his own great power so that you will not give up when troubles come, but will be patient. And you will joyfully give thanks to the Father who has made you able to have a share in all that he has prepared for his people in the kingdom of light (Colossians 1:11-12).

Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything (James 1:14). And when you have waited a little while, all that was promised will be fulfilled. BUT THE ANOINTING WILL COST YOU SOMETHING….
